My collection has recently mushroomed via ebay on which I acquire basketcase clocks for repair. I like doing case work and have just begun to tackle mainspring replacement and other movement repair. I'd love a workshop on mainspring replacement for American count wheel time and strike movements. I'll supply the stuff, your place or mine. The game plan is to sell refurbished clocks to pay for the "keepers." Presently, the collection includes Ansonsia, Brown, Canada Clock, Gilbert, Ingraham, Kundo, New Haven, Pequegnat, Sessions, Waterbury and others in various styles.

My primary interest is in tall case clocks and wall regulators from both English and American makers. I am in the process of advancing my machinist's skills so that I can build a good quality time-only seconds-beat movement. I have the first gears cut and am working on tooling to cut accurate pinions. I also have a considerable interest in early American pocket watches and have a number of watch restorations in progress.      oldtymertim@quintetimekeepers.com
