    Any new business you have to bring before the meeting.

Presentations:
    Tim will present the second half of An Empire in Time.

    If you have not paid your dues for 2008-9 Year, they are payable again.
    If you will not be attending the meeting please send $15 to: Robert
    Otherwise he will be glad to collect dues at the meeting.




Last Meeting       The last meeting took place on 7 September 2008, Wayne presided.

  • Thanks to the ladies for a delicious pot luck lunch they provided at the last meeting, what a great way to start the new year!
  • Minutes of last meeting were adopted.
  • The treasurer reported 19 paid-up members.
  • Rental for the hall has risen by $5.00
  • Secretary showed the chapter highlights report and meeting activities forms.
  • We will be at Scugog Museum, 21 September, Lang Century Village, 5 October.
  • Jim and Wayne will be looking into a display cabinet for free advertising at the Belleville Art Gallery and will report their findings.

          Some members showed their "Summer Finds"
  • Ray showed a Rolex Watch with its box, he found in a box of costume jewelry.
  • Bill found a Jerome cottage clock.
  • Bill found a black faced Russian Chronograph on eBay.
  • Maurice showed a wooden works clock he built from scratch, a beautiful piece of work.
  • Bill showed an Oris wristwatch as well as an Oris pocket watch.
  • Sandi showed her father-in law's Omega 1905 wristwatch
  • Marjorie showed an Occupied Japan piece
  • Wayne showed an American Cuckoo clock by Lux Clock Co.
    He would like to know if the oak leaf pendulum rod should be brass or wood.

  • Tim showed the first half of a presentation An Empire in Time, it will be continued at the next meeting.
  • Ray advised us of Chapter 33's new location:
       Travel Lodge Toronto Airport Hotel, 925 Dixon Rd. Eatonville Ballroom.

    Bill & Eileen have moved to a nursing home in Coburg, Ontario.
Preliminary Report: - Scugog Museum 21 September 2008
The weatherman cooperated by supplying a beautiful day. The following members attended, Maurice and Pat, Bill and Linda, Bill and Mary, Ray and Rita, Jim, Wayne and Bill and Sandi.
Preliminary report: - Lang Century Village 5 October 2008
The first few hours were quite cool but once the fireplace was lit it warmed up and was kept going thanks to Jim, who went out to find dry kindling.

The following members were present, Maurice and Pat, Bill and Linda, Ray and Rita, Jim, Wayne and Bill and Sandi. David, who works at the Village three days a week, stopped by to see our display.
